ICT travelled to Blackpool to play Fleetwood Town on Saturday afternoon

Starting lineup: Tuffy, McCann, Tokely, Munro, Golabeck, Cox, Sanchez, McBain, Sutherland, Odhiambo, Shinnie

Subs: Innes, Esson, Duncan, Blumanshtein, Rooney, Morrison, Ross

Caley Thistle struggled to get into this game against an obviously more physical and sharper Fleetwood Town and it was no surprise when they went ahead in the 33rd minute, albeit from a suspect hand ball in the penalty area.

ICT broke forward from the kick off and Roy McBain should have scored with only the keeper to beat. Although ICT were more in the game at this stage - and Graham Shinnie hit the bar in the 40th minute from a 20yard shot, chances were few and far between.

ICT came out more positively after half time but although playing much better football, didn't really threaten.

From a long ball forward in the 51st minute, Fleetwood Town doubled their score following a misunderstanding in the Caley Thistle defence. At this point the substitues Gil Blumanshtein replaced Graham Shinney and Chris Innes replaced Kevin McCann.

In the 70th minute there were three further substitutions. Adam Rooney replaced Eric Odhiambo, Gavin Morrison replaced Roy McBain and Nick Ross replaced Graham Shinnie. These substitutions seemed to work as in the 72nd minute Adam Rooney slid in a cross from Nick Ross.

ICT dominated from this stage, but despite a few narrow misses failed to score - which would have given us a deserved equaliser.

Final Score: Fleetwood Town 2 - ICT 1

"The game was a good workout for ICT against a team which is obviously going places and building facilities which will be second to none"
