GAFFER'S AFTERMATCH COMMENTS
He said "I said to the players before the game, who's going to pay for Saturday and they said Queen of the South - they were very focused on that and I think there was a real determination amongst the players to get the three points. Once we got the first goal from Adam, it gave us a lot more confidence. The confidence flooded through the team, you could see the players clenching their fists at each other saying "Come on!".
We were 2-1 up, and then we conceded a silly goal, in terms of a silly penalty but come on, let's refocus and get going again and I think there was that determination there which we needed. Then we got the third goal.
I am very pleased with Adam, he's been phenomenal, 15 goals in 18 games is a very good record. We carry such a goal threat now, from everyone in the team not just Adam. It's great! Sometimes we're guilty of pushing too many men forward but the team seems to be growing in confidence more and more. Even the 2-2 score on Saturday didn't knock their confidence. They came back fierce, they came back determined and hungry.
I think after being slapped in the face on Saturday, there was a fierce pride to make sure that didn't happen again tonight. We are now 10 matches unbeaten - 5 wins, 5 draws and are top scorers again with 44 goals in 25 games."
