He said "We're happy to take the draw in the end because it's a last minute equaliser. I didn't see much of the incident for the penalty and I can understand why Ayr would be so angry about that, I would be myself. We're delighted that we've got a point out of the game, a game I felt that we dominated and should have won. We should have had it sewn up well before the final goal. It's a bizarre game, just one of those things. We did a lots of good things in the first half and then found ourselves 2-0 down and from a defensive point of view it's been a shambles really. We've shot ourselves in the foot twice - one free kick in the Box, we didn't deal with the first ball or the second ball - and the second one was just a series of passes we never got to players and they ended up passing through us and scoring. So we're 2-0 down and you think, "well, we haven't played that badly, in fact we've been in some great areas and had some great half-chances of opportunities and we haven't scored.
We got ourselves a goal just before half-time and you think, right, we have the momentum now it's about getting second goal, which we did. We had chances again and after we got back to 2-2 I felt that we just took our foot off the gas a bit. We allowed Ayr United to consolidate, get themselves back in the game. We still paved the way, still had opportunities and yet, they got the third goal.
Right at the end, I thought our chance had gone, I thought we'd blown it. In the end, we were just grateful to get the penalty but I didn't think it was a penalty. I can understand why they are upset - they've defended resolutely, they've taken opportunities. They're a much different side from the beginning of the season.
I thought we dominated the game, we made a lot of chances to score, we just haven't been ruthless enough. It's about people taking command and dealing with things and we didn't do that."
