There were two changes to the side for tonight's re-arranged game against Raith Rovers at Starks Park from the one defeated at home on Saturday to Queen of the South. David Proctor came in at right midfield in place of Robert Eagle and Dougie Imrie made a start after his recent knee injury with Danni Sanchez dropping to the bench. No side had beaten Raith Rovers at home this season an we had yet to lose a game away from home it had the making of a tight game.
The returning Dougie Imrie picked up a yellow card on the 15th minute and the only other incident of note in the first 45 minutes came when Ryan Esson saved an effort from striker Johnny Russell, who is on loan from Dundee United.
Into the second period and Dougie Imrie tested David McGurn in the Raith goal and Ryan Esson again had to look lively to prevent a Rovers opener through Iain Williamson. Seven minutes before the end we sealed an important three points. A short back pass from Rovers player Allan Walker gave Adam Rooney a sight of goal but McGurn saved as he attempted to skip round the keeper but David Proctor was on hand to finish.
