Manager Terry Butcher kept faith with the same starting eleven that defeated Partick Thistle in the Alba Challenge Cup last weekend for the visit to Greenock to take on Morton.  That meant Ross Tokely was making his first league appearance of the season and recent transfer window signing Stuart Golabek continued at left back. 

With 13 minutes on the clock striker Danni Sanchez thought he had opened the scoring when his strike hit the back of the net but it was ruled out for offside.  However on the half-time whistle he had netted his 5th of the season and some good set up play by Jonny Hayes.

 His strike partner Richie Foran extended our lead on the hour mark, stepping inside past a defender and firing home from 12 yards.  A third was added five minutes before the end by substitute David Proctor who headed home a Jonny Hayes cross.
