Manager Terry Butcher made two changes to today's starting eleven for the visit of Ayr United for our first home league game of the season from the team that defeated Dunfermline last Saturday. Richie Foran returned from suspension to replace Adam Rooney and Jonny Hayes replaced the injured Dougie Imrie.

A sweeping move up the park presented Jonny Hayes with a shooting opportunity on the 19th minute but his effort from a Richie Foran cross lacked the pace to trouble Craig Samson. With 37 minutes played Robert Eagle was presented with a good chance when Richie Foran played him in but instead of shooting first time he stepped back inside on his right and curled the ball over the bar.

On the 52nd minute a Jonny Hayes cross into the box was headed over the bar by Richie Foran however the Irishman appeared to be nudged from behind but referee Brian Winter gave the goal kick.
Three minutes later David Proctor was replaced by Russell Duncan who went into the middle of the park with Daniel Stratford going to right back. With 68 minutes played Nauris Bulvitis picked up a yellow card and a minute later Adam Rooney came on for Richie Foran. Six minutes later youngster Nick Ross took to the field in place of Robert Eagle.
A Lionel Djebi-Zadi drive down the line and cut back from the left found Danni Sanchez on the edge of the box but his low drive drifted past the far post.
