A scorching 16 yard drive by striker Andy Barrowman sealed a deserved 1-0 victory for the Reserves today against Motherwell at Creamery Park, Bathgate.

An impressive performance which saw the boys create enough chances to win numerous games but picking the wrong options at times and poor finishing made it a narrow victory.

However the work ethic was very pleasing and we netted the only goal in the 36th minute on the counter attack.  Iain Vigurs broke up a Well attack and released Filipe Morais who in turn found Andy Barrowman making a good diagonal run into the box and he smashed a superb shot high into the net.

Andy Barrowman and Filipe Morais both had opportunities to extend our lead when they were put through with only the goalkeeper to beat but they both failed to capitalise on the good openings.

Michael Fraser ensured it was a good three points collected when he came out to close the angle and save well from Motherwell midfielder Darren Smith.
